Do You Use Export Ordered?
Background

Export Ordered is a command that was added to Helix 5.0 with the goal of providing a way to export data using the view’s visual order. (Standard exporting uses the form/subform hierarchy.)

Unfortunately, the command was implemented with serious limitations. It is not available in sequences and it does not necessarily export in the order expected.

The other aspect of this feature is the HTML tagging it provides. This simple option (that wraps each record in paragraph or table record tags) was wedged in as a way to assist with the creation of simple web pages. (Of course, it doesn't provide anything more than the paragraph/table tagging, so you still have to manually insert it into a web page to put it to use.)

In the 6+ years it has been available, tech support has never gotten a call about this feature, leading us to believe it is not used at all.

So, the questions are: have you ever used Export Ordered and will you complain if we remove it?

Summary

Very few people have ever used this feature, even fewer will be affected if we leave it behind for now, and most do not care if we revisit it later. This feature will be disabled in the early OS X Helix releases.
